Full Description

{1} Foundations of a substantial wall separated from a path by a trench containing dark brown loam (possibly a flower bed). The wall consisted of at least four courses of roughly dressed limestone set into a mixture of yellow mortar and orange clay. The path surface, which was cut by a later drain, was formed by small stones and brick fragments, well compacted.
Two terracotta land drains were exposed in the centre of the trench.
To the south part of another path was found. It comprised of tightly set cobbles set on edge within a dark brown loam matrix.
All features from the dig contained late C19th or more recent pottery.
