Full Description

{1}A number of truncated stakeholes, pits, hollows and gullies from which Stamford ware pottery was recovered. This, apparently late Saxon, group of features and deposits do not add greatly to the understanding of the site during this period.

{2} Further scatters of post-holes and a pit were found in this excavation. They may either represent internal divisions within the late Saxon Hall or structures of earlier date or activity related to construction.
