Full Description
{2} Undated ditches are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs and were mapped as part of the Bedford Borough NMP project. It is possible that some of the ditches are prehistoric in date related to past human activity but one of the south-east orientated ditches seem associated with early 20th century ironstone quarry activities
{4} Geophysical survey undertaken in 2025 identified at least two rectilinear enclosures with evidence of internal features or partitions. To the west of, and adjoining, the enclosures was a trackway aligned broadly north to south and traced for c130m. These features are located to the south-west of the previously identified area of cropmarks.
