Abstract/Summary

MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) was commissioned to conduct c12ha of geophysical survey along the route of the proposed Stanton Cross pipeline, to the east of Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. The survey detected a number of settlement features and other remains, of probable Iron Age and Roman date, spread along the route. Two areas of 19th- to 20th-centuy quarrying were also encountered.
