Full Description
{1} Feature; a shallow ditch with prehistoric flints including a scraper.
{2} A ditch showed as soil free of stones after topsoil scrape prior to terracing for houses (block 27) on Blackthorn 1. Two flints were found beside the ditch. A section of the ditch showed that it had almost been ploughed out- it was up to 0.17m deep and 2m wide. The two flints were found on the scraped surface near the ditch and included a scraper and a fragment of blade. Continuation of the ditch was noted for about 10m to the south-west.
