Summary
Possible site of an Iron Age settlement suggested by fragments of Iron Age pottery, three flint scrapers and cropmarks of a sub-rectangular enclosure, a pit alignment and linear ditches. Further cropmarks, including linear ditches and a further pit alignment, were identified during the Northamptonshire NMP project.

Full Description
{1} Fragments of Iron Age pottery and three flint scrapers have been found on the site of a sub-rectangular cropmark enclosure. S.Upex.
{2} Iron Age Settlement (?) (TL 046899), in the extreme N.W. of the parish, on river gravel at 18m. above OD. Fragments of Iron Age pottery and three flint scrapers have been found. Air photographs (not seen by RCHM) are said to show a sub-rectangular enclosure. Other photographs (NCAU) show a pi alignment and linear ditches to the S.E.
