Monument record 2932 - Little Creaton deserted village
Please read our guidance about the use of Northamptonshire Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
Little Creaton was included in either Spratton parish or Great Creaton in medieval documents so its history is unknown. It may be the site of the small manor held by William de Cahagnes in Domesday. There were eight surviving houses in the early 18th century, but the village was probably deserted by then. The earthworks are in poor condition but suggest several long closes, a pond and a possibly dammed water course.
