Monument record 3498 - Iron Age & Romano-British Settlement, Ironworking Site, & Possible Pottery Production, south of Brafield-on-the-Green

Summary
An extensive Iron Age/Roman settlement comprising multiple findspots over an area of c16ha. Cropmarks of adjoining rectangular enclosures, possibly a 'ladder enclosure', have been identified in the north-western part of the defined area but no cropmarks are visible in the area where the greatest number of finds have been made. Finds of building materials, including roof and flue tiles, may suggest the site of a villa [see individual records for further details]
