Monument record 4501 - Possible Iron Age Settlement

Summary
Cropmarks of rectilinear and curvilinear enclosures, a ring ditch and part of a pit alignment have been identified on aerial photographs as part of the Northants NMP project. Sherds of probable Iron Age pottery were found in 1970.

Full Description
{1} Holdenby at SP703686. A small rounded flint scraper was found along with reddened glacial pebbles and five small sherds of pottery, possibly of Iron Age date. Found April 1970 and deposited with Northampton Museum.
{2} Sherds of pottery, probably of Iron Age date, were found in 1970 at SP703686.
