Unstratified prehistoric flints

{1} Fieldwalking by G.Foard in March 1977 identified numerous prehistoric flints on the surface of the field. Only a small sample was collected.

{2} Flint working site (SP 756667),in the extreme N of the parish, and extending into Pitsford parish,on Nortampton sand at 91m above OD.A large area of worked flints is recored.

{3} 1 sherd of Romano-British pottery and 20 flints were recovered. The flint defined extensive background scatters with no obvious clusters.
