Summary

Possible Iron Age or Roman settlement enclosures are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. The main rectilinear enclosure is about 42metres across though the southeast side was not visible. Further adjoining enclosures are visible on its northeast side. To the south are further irregular enclosures.

Full Description

{1} Faint conjoined enclosures.

{2} Possible Iron Age or Roman settlement enclosures are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs and were mapped as part of the Bedford Borough NMP project. The main rectilinear enclosure is centred at SP 99599 67272 and measures about 42metres across though the southeast side was not visible. Further adjoining enclosures are visible on its northeast side. To the south are further irregular enclosures at SP 99561 67160.
