Summary

Cropmarks of probable rectilinear and curvilinear enclosures as well as a possible ring ditch and linear boundary ditches indicative of a late Iron Age/Romano-British settlement are visible on aerial photographs.

Full Description

{1} Cropmarks of large, oval, ditched enclosure with possible entrance on the north-east side. A ring-ditch is visible to the west, and a large curving ditch to the east. Other ditches are also apparent. Morphologically the form of the cropmarks appears to reflect a prehistoric/Romano-British date. There area also slight traces of a field boundary shown on Ordnance Survey 6" mapping.
