Full Description

{1} SP 747 709: RCHM Inventory records that a large pond bounded on east side by a massive dam up to 4 metres high is an ornamental feature connected with Brixworth Hall.

{2} Hall and park depicted;

{3} Fish pond, boat house and ice house marked;

{5} The grounds of approximately sixteen acres were…timbered with cedars of Lebanon, elm, beech amongst others. There was also a large lake and fish pond, a boat house and ice house.

{6} An orangery overlooked the lawn;

{7} Park partially developed by 1965;

{9} The pond is shown on the map;
