Monument record 2017 - Possible Prehistoric settlement and/or burial Site, east of Sywell Aerodrome

Cropmarks of irregular, ditched enclosures, ring ditches (possibly Bronze Age round barrows) and possible boundary ditches visible on aerial photography.

{1} Cropmarks identified in 1964 by Hollowell. Several small enclosures with associated ditches. To the north lay further cropmarks but they have been destroyed by industrial buildings. NCCAP:SP8267/21-26+33-36+39-41(+);

{3} Two rings (crop marks) photographed from the air by R Hollowell at 828677 in the parish of Sywell in 1966.

{6} Under wheat; not perambulated.

{7} Ring ditches and enclosures SP 827674.The site has been destroyed by industrial buildings.
