Abstract/Summary

An archaeological watching brief was carried out in March 2000 during groundworks for the construction of a single dwelling at 17 Chapel Road, Weldon, Northamptonshire (NGR: SP 9241 8972). The watching brief confirmed the findings of a previous evaluation that the site had been heavily truncated. As a result only two shallow pits were found, one dated as 13th or 14th century and the other to the 19th century. The medieval pit seems contemporary with the truncated structure found in the evaluation.
