Abstract/Summary

The gradiometer survey has located several sites of archaeological interest within the survey area. No clear correlation with aerial photographic transcriptions is apparent within the data. However, three concentrations of response indicative of prehistoric settlement have been identified, two of which appear to extend beyond the edge of the current survey. These comprise a number of ditched enclosures and hut circles which include a variety of smaller pit and hearth type responses in the interior.
