Abstract/Summary

A synopsis of a detailed building survey carried out on the Maltings prior to conversion. The Maltings were probably mid to late 18th century in their core form and had been considerably enlarged in the early to mid 19th century. Further modifications were undertaken during the 20th century when the buildings were used as workshops by the Building Department of Oundle School. The Maltings form part of the late medieval industrial development working out from the centre of Oundle and was one of the numerous maltings in the area in the 19th century.
