Abstract/Summary
This assessment of aerial photographs examined a 100m corridor along the route of a water pipeline between Duddington (SK989004) and Upton (TF105023) branching south from TF086012 to Chesterton (TL127945). A number of archaeological features have been identified and mapped at 1:10000 and areas of potentially confusing natural changes have been indicated. Written comments discuss the reliability of some of the archaeological interpretations and also note those areas considered to be of high, but unknown, potential. The presence of medieval fields over much of the pipeline route is noted and attention is drawn to specific parts of the corridor where earlier information may be masked by those fields.
