Abstract/Summary

Annexe A is concerned with two matters; the WW2 Heavy Anti-Aircraft (HAA) battery site located within the area of sire RA3 (one of the areas within the Banbury Flood Alleviation Scheme where it was proposed to win clay in order to construct flood bunds) and the dummy factory belonging to the Northern Aluminium Company at Banbury. The research carried out is not exhaustive because the dummy factory is located outside the area covered by the Banbury FAS and because of the decision to drop the win area RA3 have naturally limited the amount of work which can be carried out. No doubt further research in the Public Record Office at Kew would turn up more information on both sites.
