Abstract/Summary

An evaluation was carried out on a vacant site north of Magpie Lane. Evidence was found in the form of boundary walls, of the west end of two plots, fronting onto Bridge Street to the east. Dating evidence from the walls and overlying deposits indicate that the walls relate to the short lived development of the area in the 12th and 13th centuries.
