Abstract/Summary
Northamptonshire Archaeology carried out a desk-based assessment, including building assessment and geophysical survey on an area of land measuring approximatly 1.4 hectares a t TunnelHill Farm. No archaeological remains are known from within the development area. Sites of national importance are located close by to the south and west, and finds from theprehistoric to the modern period have been found around the development area. Documentary and Cartographic sources consulted show that open field, woodland and orchard occupied the majority of the development area from the early C18th to the modern day. In the C19th Tunnel Hill Farm was constructed.
