Abstract/Summary

Northamptonshire Archaeology conducted a preliminary geophysical survey and trial trench excavation at Preston Capes Manor, Preston Capes. The work consisted of detailed earth resistance and gradiometer survey followed by the excavation of four trenches, conducted on behalf of Roger Coy Partnership, in response to proposed residential development of the land. Both methods of survey identified a long sinous feature whilst Trench 3 contained two pits or postholes, one of which produced a single sherd of pottery.
