Abstract/Summary

In April 2005 a watching brief at Warth Park revealed a further 24 pits on the same general alignment. These were not excavated but their dimensions, interval and orientation recorded. The wider soil stripping showed that the ditch like features examined during the earlier excavation appear to be the remanent of medieval ridge and furrow. A second circular pit observed to the north of the pit alignment could not be related to the alignment or to the ridge and furrow.
