Abstract/Summary

An archaeological desk-based assessment was undertaken of land at Great Cransley, Northamptonshire. The proposed development site currently consists of mixed agricultural land, situated within the Cransley Hall estate. A series of cropmarks have been recorded within the proposed development site which may represent a continuation of the settlement activity dating from the Iron Age and Roman periods recorded at Mawsley New Village, immediately to the west.
