Abstract/Summary

A combined service trench (c. 90m) was mechanically excavated from the mid point of the north aisle, around the west end of the church and then eastwards along the southern side of the churchyard, to the entrance on to Roade Hill. Numerous modern disturbances and burials were noted. The robbed remains of a possible pre-1900 eastern boundary wall to the churchyard were also observed. No medieval or earlier remains or artefacts were exposed.
