Abstract/Summary
In order to level up the area at the end of Runway 03 an area of topsoil was stripped and the ground level increased by the importation of inert waste soil. Topsoil is to be replaced at a later date. While the topsoil was removed a watching brief was maintained in order to assess whether any subsoil features were present. None were observed. Thirteen pieces of prehistoric worked flint were collected during the stripping and on the topoil heap including a finely made scraper
