Abstract/Summary
The surviving first-floor of this three-bay timber-framed building was recorded in June 1981 when it was being refurbished for office accommodation. The plan and front elevation as well as the gable walls and internal trusses were all recorded; the back wall had not survived and any timber at ground floor level had been removed or was concealed. From the evidence of the timber-frame, a construction date around 1500 is proposed, and it is further suggested that the building might have been the Town House for Weedon, mentioned in the Churchwarden's accounts in the 1630s.
