Abstract/Summary

In response to a submission of a planning application to create a lake/field pond, a geophysical survey and trial trenching were carried out. The geophysical survey identified several anomalies in the northern development part of the site, which were shown by the trenching to be geological. Evidence of ancient land clearance in the form of isolated tree throws were found. One tree throw contained a quantity of prehistoric pottery and charcoal.
