Abstract/Summary

Geophysical survey and subsequent trial trench excavation was carried out in advance of proposed housing development. The evaluation found a settlement comprising several ditched enclosures and possible round house ring ditches. The small assemblage of pottery recovered from the site is dated to the 2nd century BC to the early 1st century AD. The site was traversed by furrows of a former medieval field system.
