Abstract/Summary

An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in February 2010 at land off The Beeches, Deanshanger, Northamptonshire. Four trenches were excavated. The evaluation found evidence of limited previous use of the site. A north/south ditch near the eastern boundary of the site produced Roman pottery and animal bone. A charcoal rich fill probably dates to its abandonment. Undated and truncated ridge and furrow was also present on a north/south alignment.
