Abstract/Summary

A 71ha magnetometer survey was commissioned from Northamptonshire Archaeology by Wardell-Armstrong LLP in order to supplement existing survey results at Priors Hall, Zone 3. In addition to the main foci of archaeological activity identified previously in the west and south of the Zone 3 area, potential archaeological features were identified towards the eastern reaches of the site, including a possible large enclosure, disparate pits and ditches, a track and a possible iron extraction and processing area. Earth resistance survey carried out in the south of the site helped define the area of a winged corridor Roman villa and two other possible structures.
