Abstract/Summary

In June 2012 an archaeological evaluation was undertaken as a condition on a planning application for the construction of a greyhound track. The evaluation involved the excavation of four trenches. Possible archaeological remains were identified in trench 1 in the form of a possible terminus or small pit, found running under the trench edge. However, this could be a natural feature resulting from root disturbance. The remains of ridge and furrow earthworks were visible in trench 2 and trench 4 and were subsequently recorded.
