Abstract/Summary

An archaeological watching brief was undertaken on land at Turners Merry Go-round, Newport Pagnell Road, Wootton in advance of groundwork for the erection of private dwellings on the land. A desk-based assessment indicated that the development area lies in close proximity to archaeological sites of prehistoric, Iron Age and Roman date, therefore any groundwork on the site had potential to disturb areas of archaeological importance. A linear boundary ditch and adjacent pit were recorded.
