Abstract/Summary

A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 2.89ha of grassland located off Oak Lane in Crick. The data has identified responses indicative of ridge and furrow cultivation which correlates with the archaeology expected on the site. Also identified are two positive linear responses which may be associated with former cut features such as ditches. Discrete positive anomalies are also noted which may indicate in-filled former pits of uncertain origin. Modern activity on the site is evident through high levels of magnetic disturbance, debris and magnetic 'spikes' indicative of ferrous materials.
