Abstract/Summary

An archaeological trial trench evaluation was carried out following the ground works for the construction of two wind turbines. A total of seven trenches were excavated. Archaeological features were identified in areas 06 (turbine 2) and area 07 (between turbine 1 and 2). Cut features comprised one pit and three linear features were present. One of the curvilinear features, which may be the corner of an enclosure, contained Iron Age pottery. A small number of post medieval and modern finds were recovered from trenches in the northern end of the site, indicating a low level of activity in this area.
