Abstract/Summary

This report covers the archaeological aspects of construction work in 2013, both within and around St. Faith's church, Kilsby, to remove pews at the rear of the nave, clear away woodwork in the vestry, and to build in a new WC facility within the area of the vestry. Associated with this work it was necessary to pierce the north wall of the north aisle below ground level, and to excavate a trench in part of the churchyard and the south side of Church Walk, in order to lay a mains water incoming pipeline and an outgoing drain, connected to the public networks in Manor Road at the west end of Church Walk.
