Abstract/Summary

A programme of archaeological observation was undertaken by Northamptonshire Archaeology between February and August 2012 on behalf of Higham Ferrers Town Council during the construction of a new public footpath and limited clearance of vegetation from the moat within the Scheduled Monument of Castle Fields, Kimbolton Road, Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire. Minimal excavation was conducted, remaining entirely within the topsoil horizon. No archaeological deposits or artefacts were present.
