Full Description

{2} Earthwork survey shows causeway across water of moat/fishponds.

{4} Limited clearance of vegetation was undertaken within the moat. This comprised the cutting and uprooting of shrubs and small saplings. During the course of uprooting the saplings a minimal amount of silt was removed from the bottom of the moat. No pre-modern archaeological deposits or artefacts were present within the investigation area.
