Abstract/Summary
An archaeological evaluation by trial trenching was carried out in advance of a residential development at the former Kingston's Farm, Paulerspury. The site lies close to the historic core of the village and medieval settlement earthworks have been observed to the north of Lumber Lane and southeast of Park Lane. Map evidence indicates that a farm was present in the northern half of the site from at least the 1830s. Evidence recorded during the current investigations would appear to suggest that prior to the foundation of the farm the site lay within the open fields associated with the medieval settlement at Paulerspury.
