Abstract/Summary

This document sets out the results of an archaeological trench evaluation on land belonging to The Hunters, Buckingham Road, Deanshanger (hereafter referred to as the Project Site). The results will inform plans for the conversion of existing premises to residential use, together with the construction of 2 new dwellings on land formerly occupied by the South Central Ambulance Service. The work was commissioned by William Willoughby (Estates) Ltd and was informed by Lesley-Ann Mather, County Archaeological Advisor, Northamptonshire County Council. No pre 19th century features were identified during the excavation and the results confirm that the Project Site has been significantly truncated in line with the development of the existing offices and associated car park on the site.
