Abstract/Summary

Strong well-defined anomalies in Area 2 suggest possible enclosures, but the limited width of this field and the likelihood of natural effects at this location (low lying, adjacent to the stream) precludes any more definitive interpretation. Anomalies relating to the known and possible former boundaries have been identified in areas 1 and 7. Elsewhere, although a few responses have been highlighted as potential archaeology the interpretation is highly cautious, with natural or modern agricultural factors being equally tenable. Two ferrous responses have been recorded which might reflect debris from a World War II aeroplane which apparently crashed in the fields around Weldon.
