Abstract/Summary

MOLA was commissioned to carry out a detailed magnetometer survey on land west of new Street, Weedon. The survey detected part of a ditched enclosure, which may date from the Iron Age or Roman period, or less probably, may be associated with an early phase in the development of the village of Upper Weedon. The survey also detected some historic agricultural features, including remnant medieval ridge and furrow cultivation and debris from a small 19th century building. This supercedes the earlier report which only covered two of fields (ENN107526)
