Abstract/Summary
The area of the site was probably settled by the 12th or 13th centuries as part of the growth of Brackley New Town. The first fire station station in the town had been built by 1884, but this was demolished in 1887 and a new building constructed just to the south. It was extended to the rear and side to provide a further engine bay and better facilities during the 20th century.
