Abstract/Summary

Trent and Peak Archaeology was commissioned by Trevor Jolly Design to carry out an archaeological field evaluation ahead of proposed residential development on land off Roade Hill, Ashton, Northamptonshire. The work was carried out between the 20th and 22nd April 2016 and comprised the excavation of three trial trenches. Archaeological featurs were observed within all three trenches, and comprised a probable Romano-British ditch, a medieval ditch terminus or pit and an undated posthole. The evaluation produced a small assemblage of abraded Romano-British and medieval pottery
