Abstract/Summary

In September 2016 an archaeological geophysical survey and trial trench evaluation was carried out by MOLA (Museum of London) Archaeology, on behalf of Manor Oak Homes on land to the west of Gipsy Lane. The evaluation identified no archaeological features pre-dating the furrows indicative of medieval to post-medieval ridge and furrow cultivation. Features identified in the geophysical survey were, upon excavation, deemed to be of geological origin and not of archaeological significance.
