Abstract/Summary

An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in September 2015 by University of Leicester Archaeological Services on behalf of Lodge Park Ltd on land at Church Close, Braybrooke, Northamptonshire (SP 7636 8460). The fieldwork was undertaken as part of a planning requirement in relation to proposals for the construction of a new residential development, and was carried out in order to assess the potential impact of the development on any archaeological remains that may be present. The evaluation identified archaeological features in two of the trenches, and a few finds of prehistoric, Roman and Saxon date. Ridge and furrow was also detected in the field. The site archive will be deposited with Northamptonshire County Council under the accession number ENN108154.
