Abstract/Summary

MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) was commissioned to undertake an earth resistance survey on the former site of Ashby Lodge in the parish of Ashby St Ledgers, Northamptonshire. The lodge was an early 18th-century country house and was demolished in the 1930s. The survey detected the surviving foundations of the lodge, together with elements of the associated gardens and driveways. Other anomalies, possibly representing remains of medieval ridge and furrow cultivation were also detected.
