Abstract/Summary
Two letters from Charmian Woodfield with musings on an odd feature discovered in a trench at 27 Richmond Road. A plan of the trench is included, but apart from the clay feature, no other features are labelled. Charmian suggests that the feature may be of 17th defensive origin, but a pencil note from Glenn Foard indicates that it does not accord with anything he had seen.
