Abstract/Summary

An archaeological earthwork survey by LiDAR study has been prepared by University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) for land to the west of Cranford Road, Great Addington, Northamptonshire (SP 7470 8870). The survey was undertaken retrospectively to fulfil a remaining condition of planning permission in relation to the development of a ménage. The development of the site has already been completed, although the use of LiDAR data recorded prior to the development has permitted the affected areas to have been included within the study. Previous research (Hall 1982) has identified pre and post enclosure mapping of Great Addington’s open fields, of which some of the results have been included. The results of the LiDAR study are consistent with this earlier research.
