Abstract/Summary

In November 2017, a historic building record was made of a former public house known as either The Horseshoe, or the Horseshoe Inn, at Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire prior to its conversion to residential apartments. The report provides a descriptive and illustrative account of the building in its 'as found' state, by means of archaeological observations, photographs, scaled elevations and plans. Integral to the report is a historic account of the building, which draws principally on primary archive material.
